What right have we to June
The very springtime and fullness of the year
When hope has died in May
We who carry the weight of loss
Who linger on
Unknowing
Watch the songbirds sport and dash
Unconcerned at their neighbor’s plight
All nature proclaims selfishness
Enjoy the day
Use well your time
Think not that you are spared
Take the moment and go
Rejoice with full lungs
Before you too are laid out
Gone
