I play as your superior
Posterior to your needs
The pride this feeds in me
I see as necessary to my
Self worth
Woolworths selling garments
Appliances
Blind dances with prearranged lines
Of fine wine discounted
Un-recounted tragedies
I imagine these days
Playing court to fantasies
Seeing myself my vanities
Gentle as an Everglades manatee
Getting cut up chopped
By the powerboats’ props
What the hell am I doing
Carrying water to the elephant
I need to find myself but I can’t
So I shuffle pick up boxes
Feed the neighbor foxes
Locks need fixing
My pride tricking me into awaking
I thank god for taking the time
Spending His dime
Seems like I’m working all the time
